Verification Approved for 2022–2024 Vintages

The Village Climate Solutions Project (VCSP) has received Verification Approval for the 2022–2024 monitoring period, following the successful completion of an independent verification process conducted by AENOR.

The verification covered the period from April 2022 to June 2024 and included both Climate, Community & Biodiversity (CCB) re-validation and verification of the project's carbon mitigation outcomes.

The verification confirmed a total of 718,068 ΔREDD (tCO₂e) in emission reductions. Of this total, 599,094 VCUs (tCO₂e) constitute tradable Verified Carbon Units, while 118,974 VBCs (tCO₂e) are allocated to the project's buffer pool.

The verification was conducted by AENOR, a Spain-based accredited independent validation and verification body. The process included a site visit in March 2025, enabling direct engagement with communities and field-level assessment of project implementation and carbon measurement activities.

The successful verification and subsequent approval represent an important milestone for VCSP, confirming the project's independently verified climate mitigation performance and strengthening its position to deliver high-integrity carbon outcomes alongside meaningful community benefits.

The 599,094 VCUs represent the tradable carbon outcomes available from the verified results, while the 118,974 VBCs provide the corresponding contribution to the project's buffer pool. Together, these account for the full 718,068 ΔREDD (tCO₂e) verified for the period.
