Our FPIC process ensures that communities are fully informed, actively engaged, and formally consent to each stage of project development and implementation.
Analysis
Use village land use maps and GIS to identify potential project areas and estimate mitigation outcomes and revenues.
Awareness
Present the VCSL model, maps, and projected outcomes to the Village Council and General Assembly and obtain consent letters.
Consultation
Collect socio-economic data and verify spatial information with trained patrol teams using smartphone-based tools.
Co-design
Village Council and General Assembly approve project areas and develop or update Forest Management Plans and bylaws.
Consent
Obtain formal approval of the 40-year agreement from the Village Council and General Assembly with local authority endorsement.
Implementation
Execute outcome-based patrols, boundary demarcation, and agricultural extension services using smartphone-supported systems.
MRV
Village and sub-village leaders participate in community data collection and independent verification through site visits.
Benefit Sharing
Village Council and General Assembly approve benefit-sharing guidelines, elect committees, and allocate revenues to dividends and community development projects.
