Board of Directors
Approves policies, plans, programmes, budgets, and reports.
Managing Director
Provides strategic leadership on forest governance and conservation. Strengthens partnerships and ensures alignment with REDD+ best practices.
Director of Operations
Oversees project operations, FPIC, community forestry, benefit sharing, and CCB monitoring and reporting.
Lindi & Morogoro Cluster Managers
Responsible for supervising zonal farm extension officers within the assigned cluster; supporting effective forest governance; ensuring adherence to agreed benefit-sharing mechanisms; and coordinating engagement between project communities, local government authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
Extension Agents
Provide extension services, maintain relationships with local authorities and communities, and support CCB data collection.
Director of Finance
Manages financial systems, budgeting, and reporting ensuring transparency and accountability.
Admin
Supervises staff and ensures compliance with all codes of conduct.
Village Governance Structure
Village General Assembly
Approves plans, budgets, bylaws, beneficiaries and elects leadership.
Village Council
Manages village forest resources and supervises committees.
Natural Resource Committee
Conducts patrols and boundary management.
Benefit Sharing Committee
Manages beneficiaries, reports, and dividend distribution.
Local Government Authority
Provides technical advisory support to village institutions.

Purchase VCUs and provide financial returns to sustain the project.
Offtaker
Provides technical support on GIS, MRV processes, remote sensing and marketing.
Funders
Includes TNC, UBS Optimus, and Palladium Group: Provide grants and loans while receiving climate, community and biodiversity outcomes.
Consultative Stakeholders
Provide advisory, research and technical expertise, policy guidance and receive relevant fees from VCSL.
VCSL
The Project Developer, Coordinates REDD+ implementation and distributes revenues to participating stakeholders.
TFCG
Provides forest and farm extension services to participating communities.
Regulators
Includes DNA, Verra and VVB: Register the project, and undertake independent validation, verification to ensure compliance. they receive relevant fees from VCSL
Local Government Authorities
Provide oversight and technical support to participating communities and receive relevant fees from VCSL.
Managing Authorities
Owners and Managers of the forests under the project. Protect the forests to generate reduced deforestation outcomes and receive performance-based payments grounded on opportunity cost.
