Village Climate Solutions Project completed Verification For April 2013–April 2022 Vintages

The Village Climate Solutions Project (VCSP) has successfully completed independent verification for the period April 2013 to April 2022. During this time, the project remained largely dormant; however, communities continued to protect forest resources across the project landscape.

The verification was conducted by TÜV Rheinland, an accredited independent validation and verification body. The verification report was subsequently approved by Verra on 16 September 2025, confirming the credibility and integrity of the results.

A total of 25,703 tCO₂e in saleable Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) were confirmed for this period. While these credits represent an important achievement, their contribution to community revenue is limited due to their relatively small volume and older vintages.

Nevertheless, this milestone marks a significant step forward for VCSP. With verification now complete, the project is well positioned to advance into the next monitoring period (April 2022 to June 2024), which is expected to generate over 606,000 tCO₂e in high-quality, premium tradable mitigation outcomes.

This milestone positions VCSP to scale impact, strengthen community benefits, and deliver high-quality climate mitigation outcomes at significantly greater scale.
